Torrance, Get Ready for an Exciting Summer Camp!
With a very cold and wet winter this year, I'm ready for summer. However, with summer break just weeks away, we're also left scrambling to find a safe, fun, enjoyable, and inexpensive summer camp for our kids in Torrance and the South Bay area. Fear not, fellow parents, because I've discovered the perfect solution: Techakids!
Techakids, a nonprofit educational foundation located in South Torrance, is hosting its 8th annual summer camp for elementary and middle school students in the South Bay communities of Torrance, Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and surrounding areas. The camp will be held at the picturesque Seaside Elementary campus in South Torrance, starting on Tuesday, June 20th, and running through July 21st.
This exciting summer camp promises a range of innovative and engaging activities for your little tech enthusiasts. Students will have the opportunity to learn coding, participate in Battle Bots with artificial intelligence (A.I.), explore Minecraft modding and world-building, create their own Roblox games in 3D using virtual reality headsets, and dive into 3D design and printing. To top it all off, there will even be a special appearance by Pepper, the humanoid robot!
Techakids is a community-driven program that's dedicated to empowering and inspiring South Bay children to discover technology and learn valuable life-long skills, such as teamwork and cooperation. Their main focus is on computer science and technology-related skills, helping to teach and inspire the next generation of enthusiasts, engineers, and tech entrepreneurs.
Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to keep your kids engaged and learning throughout the summer months while having a blast!
