Animation (Animatronics) Robotics and Engineering class
 
Has your child ever been to Disneyland or Disney World, seen the robots, or watched a Disney Pixar animated movie and wondered how those characters and robots feel so real? How they seem to actually have emotions? There's a reason for that.
 
Years ago, Walt Disney coined the term "Animatronics"  a unique art form that blends animation and artistry with the raw power of engineering and technology. All wrapped up into one. And this spring, Techakids is bringing that magic straight to your child.
 
Our new Animation, Robotics & Engineering class is unlike anything we've ever offered. We're talking real tools. Real concepts. The kind of stuff that makes kids light up.
 
It's not just for the kids who love tech; it's also for children who love animation and art. They'll get a kick out of seeing art come to life in physical form.
 
We start with the graphics and animation techniques used to bring robots to life. Then comes the engineering side: coding fundamentals, servo motors, hydraulic systems, and microcontrollers. The hardware that actually makes things move.
 
Using Oculus VR headsets, they'll step inside  designs and animations, using  virtual reality, and augmented reality
 
And then, we bring it all together.
 
Students will work on a full animation robotics platform, bringing robotic characters inspired by Pixar movies to life. Students will gain an understanding of the functions of servo motors, learn how to code microcontrollers, and understand why animation is the crucial element that makes everything come together.

No previous coding or robotics experience is necessary. Our skilled instructors will be there every step of the way.
