CLASS DESCRIPTION :
LET THE CODING FUN BEGIN!!
Now that your child has been introduced to a visual programming language (Scratch). It’s time to explore a text based programming language.
In this introductory beginners class,we will learn a simple, powerful programming language called Python.Python is taught in introductory computer science courses in high school and college, and it’s used to run some of the most powerful apps in the world, including Gmail, Google Maps, and YouTube.
If your child enjoys looking at YouTube now it’s time to learn the programming language behind this popular platform.
Students will also have an introduction to drones coding through a drone simulator
In this very popular class students will take a look at the most basic fundamental data structure like
Writing programs with variables .
Students will learn about how computers make decisions .
Students will learn how to implement looping code structures inside of the Python programming language.
We will take a look at functions and see the role it plays in a program.
We will also learn how to use some of the modules included in python
Finally students will apply what they have learned to write their own programs

-Drone simulator sofware installed(teckakids will provide as part of class)
